Herbal Tropical Green Smoothie

A smoothie using chilled herbal tea to increase your access to nourishing plants.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steeped herbal tea, chilled (I love the flavor from the Elle Wellness, previously known as Lauren Mary Holistics, Don’t Go Bananas tea which includes catnip, chamomile, nettle, oat straw, organic banana chips, organic banana flavor)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water, unsweetened
  • 1 cup kale and/or spinach
  • 1 cup pineapple, fresh or frozen
  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1/4 cucumber, peeled
  • 1/4 lemon peeled or ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Optional: 1 slice of fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Steep tea and cool to room temperature.

  2. Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes 2 servings.
