Grapefruit Lime Frozen Margaritas

Grapefruit and lime, a refreshing citrus pair for this healthy summer margarita.

  • 1 tsp coarse salt (for salted rim)
  • 1.5 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 cups ice
  • 2 drops food grade grapefruit essential oil (OR 2 tbsp fresh grapefruit juice)
  • 1 oz alcohol of choice (tequila, white rum, vodka, gin, etc.)


  1. Fill a small bowl with water and dip the rim of your glass in the water. Roll the wet rim in 1 tsp of coarse salt and allow to sit while you make your margarita.
  2. Combine your fresh lime juice with your honey and mix well with a fork until dissolved.
  3. Place lime/honey mixture, ice, grapefruit essential oil OR juice and alcohol into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  4. Pour into your salt rimmed glass and enjoy with lime wedge, top with raspberries or serve as is.

Recipe Notes

Feel free to make a large batch of lime juice/honey mixture if you are making more margaritas. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Simply increase the two ingredients by the same ratio.
